COLLEGE EXPERIENCE:
– Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma
– Associate in Applied Science, Music Production
– Bachelor of Applied Technology, Technology Application Studies

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
I started performing, composing, and recording music in high school. In college I received an internship at an independent record label and worked my way up to head audio engineer where I achieved 3 singles in the top 20 on the Texas Music Chart. Most recently I produced free programs, events, and concerts at a public park in Oklahoma City highlighted by 30,000 guests at opening weekend.

WHAT EXCITES ME ABOUT THIS WORK:
There has never been more access to composing and recording music than today. I connect to the human side of education and music production, it is a collaborative art form, the art of helping others find their voice.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE:
Ohio University – BS Visual Communications in Informational Graphics & Publication Design, Art Minor, Advertising Specialization
Ohio University – MA Visual Communication in Interactive Multimedia Design

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
I have worked for a variety of national and local companies and businesses through my own design company called Antelope Creative Designs for the past 15 years.

WHAT EXCITES ME ABOUT THIS WORK:
Sharing my interest in design with the students and also having them understand that they are capable of pursuing a career within a creative field is what excites me the most about working at Northeast Early College. Some of my students are already realizing at a young age that they can make money selling their work and working for clients, which is exciting.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE:
Wittenberg University – BA Biology
University of New Mexico – MA Secondary Education

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
I have spent the last 22 years teaching science and technology courses before joining the team at Northeast Early College. I am passionate about involving students in career and technical education. I am an amateur gardener. I have worked to create a school-based community garden at my last school and have personally pursued a certificate in market farming.

WHAT EXCITES ME ABOUT THIS WORK:
There is no Planet B! I want to grow the next generation of solution makers – the students that will go out and change the world. Issues of sustainability in clean energy, food security and water face our global society. I want to inspire the future engineers that will develop balanced solutions to preserve our environment and meet economic needs, while ensuring that all people have equitable access to healthy food, clean air and water and a safe place to live.
