Chris has been teaching for 20+ years and this is his 5th year with the Wolfpack. This will be his first year teaching the concurrent enrollment classes. He started teaching business and computer applications classes before moving into math. Before teaching at NEC, Chris taught at an alternative school in the Sheridan neighborhood. Which was a big change from the 10 years he spent teaching in New York City at levels from 6th grade to community college and 4 years he spent teaching in Chicago. Prior to teaching, Chris was a financial analyst at Bally Total Fitness. That was his first job after graduating from Miami University with Bachelors degrees in both Accounting and Marketing. Chris went back to school at Eastern Illinois University and then Brooklyn College to get his Masters degree in Math Education. When he’s not teaching, Chris spends time with his wife and young son. They usually spend time at the park, museum, or zoo. In addition to his son, Chris is dad to one cat, one dog, and a turtle. Lately, he has not traveled much, but loves to get out and see the world. He’s been to over 25 countries and loves to eat the foods and see the sights. To relax, Chris runs long distances (he’s completed 5 marathons), reads (or listens) to books, and plays card games. In fact, he and his wife’s first date was to play cribbage.
