Student Support

My name is Dr. Gloria Casanave Perez. I will be the school psychologist at NEC this year. It is my 28th year as a school psychologist, primarily in DPS. I received my doctor of psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from University of Denver in 1993. I am a native of Southern California, and attended UC Santa Barbara and Loyola Marymount Universities to earn my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. I am married to a nurse who works at the Denver VA hospital. We have a daughter who is a sophomore at the University of North Dakota studying aviation and atmospheric science. I am an animal lover and have four dogs. I enjoy training my dogs and showing two of them at local dog shows. I am a member of two dog clubs, and am a board member of the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Denver. I enjoy working with children and adolescents, and look forward to working with high school students and getting to know the staff of NEA.
