Hannah Spock

Ms. Spock (she/her) is a Chemistry teacher at NEC and is excited to join the NEC wolfpack this year. She grew up in Texas before moving to Colorado, and she’s taught high school science in Montbello for four years now. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied Biochemistry, STEM Education, and a bit of Business Administration. She’s finishing her master’s degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from CU Denver, and will always challenge herself to keep learning and growing as a human.

Throughout college, Ms. Spock worked a lot – in a biochemistry lab that studied new technologies for alcohol profiling, managing a dining hall on campus, interning at local high schools, working summer camps, and more! She spends lots of time outdoors, trying learn more about our local geology, plant identification, animals, gardening/agriculture, and our environment and community. In her free time, Ms. Spock crafts & creates, reads, figure skates, and hangs out with her dog, cats, and favorite humans.
