World Language, Language Arts, and ELD

Mr. Smith is an ELD and ELA – S support teacher. Mr. Smith was born and raised in Ohio. Mr. Smith graduated from The Ohio State University with an undergraduate degree in Spanish and International (Latin American) Studies. He completed his first Masters in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico in San German, Puerto Rico. He taught Adult ESL classes as an adjunct professor during his studies in Puerto Rico. Mr. Smith completed his second Masters degree in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. He has taught high school Spanish in D.C., Maryland, and Ohio. He has also taught ESL in Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. Mr. Smith has had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. He has taught 4th grade up to Adult ESL. Mr. Smith is currently working toward completing his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, language learning, traveling, dancing, martial arts, MMA, weight training, and basketball.
