Adjunct Professor of English
World Language, Language Arts, and ELD
Megan Leonardi comes to NEC as the 9th grade English teacher with four years of previous teaching experience in her hometown of Ogden, Utah. Megan is passionate about NEC’s mission because she graduated high school with her Associate of Arts from Weber State University many years ago. She then earned her B.A. in Interpersonal Communication with a minor in Psychology from the University of Utah. After college, Megan entered the non-profit world and explored a variety of occupations before going back to school. She graduated from Weber State University in 2018 with her Masters in English and graduate certificates in Creative Writing and Secondary Education.
Megan moved to Denver this past July and has so far enjoyed everything a large city has to offer. So far her favorite doughnut place is VooDoo doughnuts, her favorite coffee place is Stella’s, and she can be found wandering her new state with her trusty pup Huckleberry Wishbone Finn. Her favorite book is currently “Whiskey When We’re Dry” by John Larison and she is exploring the delicate compositions of heavy metal music in her spare time.
