She was born and raised in Wyoming, but has almost lived in Denver for longer than her time in Wyoming. She is an avid learner and is constantly taking a class on something. She graduated from University of Wyoming with a B.S. in Psychology in 1997 and a B.A. of Secondary Education in 1998 and then with her Masters in Education and Policy Leadership from CU at Denver. She won the Mile High Teacher Award in 2006 and the Diercks LawStar in 2018. She is proud to be continuing her development as a teacher and leader at Northeast Early College. She enjoys cooking, working out, spending time with her fur babies, Hamilton and Perla when she is not working.
