Teresa Goncalves

Assistant Principal

Teresa Goncalves started her teaching career in Montbello in 2013, directly out of college at the University of Georgia. She served as a Math Fellow first and then an English Teacher for seven years at Northeast Early College before stepping stepping into the position of Assistant Principal – a role she considers a tremendous honor and one with which she will do everything in her power to remove barriers of oppression and pave the way for true and equal opportunity for all students. With her time outside of NEC, Teresa loves snowboarding, hiking with her dogs and husband, reading everything she can get her hands on, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She is honored to do this work with such an extraordinary staff and even more exceptional students.
