Gifted and Talented

“Northeast Early College is committed to ensuring multi-faceted support for Gifted & Talented (GT) and high-ability students. This includes internships and field trip opportunities through our community partnerships, greater choice in their coursework, and challenging college-level concurrent enrollment course options. Students can explore future college and career options through the Future Center, TRiO program, Career Navigator, and DSF partnership, and explore passions in our interest-based clubs such as robotics or sports. Our GT site team collaborates annually with students to create their Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs). Our GT team also collaborates with grade-level teams to collect additional data to increase the number of GT-identified students at NEC, as well as help students progress monitor on their ALP goals.
