Dr. Catherine Jackson (She/Her), born in Jamaica, has lived in Colorado for 3 years. She has over 25 years of experience as a business and marketing executive across many industries such as fashion and entertainment, fast moving consumer goods, non-profit, finance and e-commerce across the US, Caribbean and Latin America. She sits on the board for several publicly traded companies and has a heart for service, particularly focused on people development. She has her PhD is Pastoral Psychology from Marantha College, Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor in Sociology from Florida International University.
She had a parent that ensured she did her school work while she was in high school. In college, she had a lot more freedom that she took for granted and ended up taking a year off. That year she worked, gave her perspective on what is important and how hard life can be if she didn’t have her priorities in order. She went on to complete her Associate, Bachelor, Master and PhD all while working to pay for it.
Her favorite thing about NEC is the diversity in knowledge and experience of the staff and the opportunity the students have to not only take college classes and graduate with an associate, but the wide cross-section of subject areas that are offered.
