Garrett Greely (he, him) is starting his first year at NEC as the Biology Teacher.

Garrett has taught in the classroom for 6 years and out of the classroom for another 5. His science endorsement trainings were under NGSS standards, with a specialization in Environmentalism. He is passionate about bringing science to life and making it accessible with fun experiments, quirky demonstrations and a friendly sense of humor.

Related educational positions Garrett has held include managing small teams to design various scientific curriculum for visiting schools, including coordinating, designing and leading 13-day backpacking trips around Summit County studying local ecosystems and water quality of mountain streams and rivers.

He also designed and led Geological, Paleontological, and Horticultural based curriculum for visiting family and school programs at the Garfield Park Conservatory, where he oversaw the maintenance, tending, honey extraction and community education of the resident beehives. And for a time was employed as an environmental soils and water quality analyst testing for various contaminants under EPA specifications and regulation.
