My name is JJ Smith and I am joining the NEC team this year in my 10th year of teaching. I will be teaching Comprehensive Health as well as Fitness. Moving and sports have always been a passion. I played multiple sports growing up from soccer, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and swimming then continued on and went on to be a Division 1 swimmer in college at the University of Northern Colorado. When I am not teaching I love spending time with my family. We have 3 dogs, 2 sugar gliders and 1 cat. My partner, her 3 boys and I are true Colorado natives always wanting to be outside playing and enjoying the weather outside. I am excited for this upcoming year at NEC!
