Summer Abeyta is a Colorado Native who absolutely loves her job! She brings enthusiasm, new ideas, and a sense of fun to our TIP every day. After earning an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences in Criminal Justice, Summer originally set out to become a corrections officer. While volunteering at her sons’ schools, she realized how much she enjoyed working with students. She began working as a special education paraprofessional four years ago and is now working towards her bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Special Education. She hopes to teach elementary school and eventually earn a Master’s in Special Education. Summer loves to be outdoors especially in the summer months. She is an avid sports person who loves the challenge of learning a new sport. Her three boys, who love football, soccer and baseball, keep her very busy but she wouldn’t trade it for the world.
