Summer Abeyta is a Colorado Native who absolutely loves her job! After earning an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences in Criminal Justice, she originally set out to become a corrections officer. While volunteering at her sons’ schools, she realized that she loved working with students. She began working as a special education paraprofessional six years ago and is now working towards her bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Special Education. She hopes to teach elementary school and eventually earn a Master’s in Special Education. Summer loves to be outdoors especially in the summer months. Her 3 boys, who love football, soccer and baseball, keep her very busy but she wouldn’t trade it for the world. She is an avid sports person who loves the challenge of learning a new sport or having some healthy fun competition.
